How students can practice, record and be assessed in language learning by their teachers outside of the classroom!
SANS Inc., the developer and exclusive licensor of Sony language learning software solutions has created the first real ‘cloud’ based language lab for remote online student practice, recording and teacher assessment from their own PCs and smartphones. Called SANSpace it will revolutionise the remote learning of languages.
Student online comparative recorder and player
What makes SANSSpace unique to language teachers and students is the built-in digital language recorder and player. SANSSpace is a software programme that securely manages and gives teachers and students permission-based access to language course content. It allows for 24/7 learning online, on campus, or a blend of both. Instructors post and organize lesson content in dedicated SANSSpace folders that can be easily used by their students. Granular tracking of activity and reports in SANSSpace provides a snapshot of how students are progressing. Through SANSSpace, teachers and students can communicate with other users in real time or asynchronously.
“SANSSpace is a way of delivering data to students and other users both on and off campus and with the online digital recorder, students have more time to speak, listen, and self-evaluate than in a traditional classroom,” said Mustapha Masrour, Ph.D, Teaching Administrator and Director of both the Language Learning Center and Foreign Language Education at Hofstra University New York City.
